The Last Blog!!

1) During the beginning of the year in September i was a whole different person. As a Freshman you come into high school thinking that you are at the top just like the year before as a eighth grader, but really you are at the bottom again as a freshman... Freshman year has been awesome you meet tons of new friends and the way you preset your self alone with you attitude. Now at the end of the year myself and my classmates are total different people!

2) During this year we have studied many different topics of literature. But something that really didn't inerest me was the book Animal Farm. This book was very slow going and it really wasn't one of those books that you wanted to keep on reading.

3) This year had many challenging topics that we had studied. one of them that i found the hardest was literary terms i just found them confusing..

4) This year i liked learning about Holocaust, i found it very intrestinmg but at the same time i found it very harsh and cruel. like in the book Night John the germans had teated the jews very sadly and the jews did nothing to diserve that.

5) If i had to give the freshman class a peice of advice i would tell them to keep there closest friends close and let nothing come between them because the amount of drama that you go though in the year, it defially will ruin a friendship for ever. dont lissen to know one and what they have to say be your own kind of person, start your own trend!

DREAMING!!

Internet site:

Mullin, Rita. "On Dreams and Dreaming: DiscoveryHealth.com. 2007
Discovery Communications. LLC. 13 April 2008 <http://health.discovery.com/centers/sleepdreams/experts/garfield.html>

Notes:

  • When we dream our central nervous system is going into an active state
  • our heart rate goes up our breathing gets more rapid, our temperature slightly increases, our brain waves change.
  • dreaming is an important component of memory and that we do know that when people are learning new things.

Paraphrase:

Dreaming put a big input on to your body at night more than you know. your nervous system goes into active state witch is when you heart rate goes up, you breath more rapidly, and your body temperature increases. you usually dream when you have a lot of things on your mind, or you will even dream of the past memories you have bin thinking of.

Quotes:

When we dream, our central nervous system is going into an active state, which it is does periodically during our sleep.(Dr. Garfield)

wensday responce

1.) in today's world many kids grow up way to fast.. but then there are others that just grow up as a normal kid. but then today kids also grow up around drinking and drug abuse, and sometimes i don't think that the parents think that it will influence there kids to grow up and be like then.... just like Gerald he grew up as a baby with his mom abusing drugs, but then when he went to live with his aunt when his mother was sent away.. he grew up as a normal kid not being left home alone and abused.. aunt Queen gave him all the love that he needed to grow up as a normal child...

2.) Gerald's life is different from a normal high school student because he has to go on every day worrying about his little sister Angel.... He cant go out like a normal high school student and hang with his friends with out worrying about what may happen to his little sister while he is gone, Or even thinking about what his step father may or do to Angel... while Gerald is going up he is growing up allot faster then a normal kid he is looking out for his sister as well as going to school, going to practice and bringing Angel to dance while trying to ,live his own life as well...

3.) in my life i had to take many responsibility's. In my family my brother and i are the oldest of the grand children but my brother lives in California so I'm next in line... i have about 6 younger cousins and i am always baby sitting then on weekends, and Fridays if needed... sometimes it hard because when there is only one of you and like 5 of them its harder then you think to control them... My aunts and uncles aways say that i don't have to if i don't want to but i usually always do because i would rather have my cousins with me then have them stay someplace were they don't want to be.
1.) By 1996 there were 583 arrests from D.U.I (Driving Under The Influence.) By 2006 that number increase by 68 people... not including the amount of drug or illegal substance's arrest.

2.) The amount of alcohol that is consumed every year is ridiculous, not even including the amount of under age drinking that goes on all around the state... when you see the numbers come up it is amazing on how many of those alcohol consumers are pulled over for D.U.I (Driving Under The Influence.)

my life has bin hard. All my life i have cherished my uncle, he and i were like best friends. my mom got mad sometimes because i always wanted to go to his house. During the summer he became ill and it soon lead to the hospital. My mom and i were very worried about him the doctor said that he would be ok and my aunt was releaved. we soon left the hospital and went home but my uncle still had to be on medications and have an iv at his home with him. so my mom voleteared to go every day at two and give him the iv. i seen my uncle more then then i have seen my cusins in a year! When we were at his house i would sit on the end of his chair and talk to him like i was having a phone conversation with my best friend, we told each other everything, and when i say everything i mean everything! He always told me to do my best on every thing and i always did my best for him. when i did succead on something he woud tell me that life is hard but there are always second chances but you dont no how many of them you have so take those chances and ack like they were your last, live your life to the fullest and dream big because sometimes your dreams do come true.

* * *

My uncle was all better! the whole family was happy. but then that day came and he fell ill again. I cried because i had a feeling this time it wouldnt turn out like last time... We ended up in the hospital again. Day after day my mom and i went to the hospital to see him and comfurt my aunt. the doctor had bin saying that he was growing weak but he will be ok for now. we all cried of happiness. Then the worst day of my life arived, that day i wanted to go to my friends house, i went to the hospital early that morning to see him but he wasnt up. so we left my mom droped me off at my friend brittany's house and she returned to the hosital. by the time she got there my uncle was up, she was talking to him and he seemed fine. my mom went out into the hall to talk to the doctor and all they heard was my aunt cry... she said that she had takin a deap breath and just passed right there and then. my mom ran in and comfuted my aunt. but it was all to late my mom didnt no how to tell me i was at my dads house that night so she told him and he told me when i got home.
i walked into the kichen and every one was silent and i new something was wrong, i was all happy and cheerful and then it all disapeared. i was sitting on my bed just thinking of how my uncle was doing, and then my dad walked in and i could tell by the look on his face something really bad had happened. he told me and i cried for two days. i was silent i didnt talk to anyone i just nodded to a yes or no question. Soon i went to my moms house and she was still in tears we went to my aunts house and we all cryed. we were all so close i felt as if i had lost my left arm he was my best friend.
every time i go to my aunts house i just sit on the couch and look at his chair that his cat always sleeps in the cat knows that he isnt there you could tell he was always on his lap but life dosnt always go how you want it to, and evenchually all you love ones will pass and you will go thought all the heart ack over again!

My highlights from animal farm...

In Chapter 9*

*The rebuilding of the windmill started after the day after there victory...

*At the begining, when the laws of Animal Farm were first made up, at the retiring age had been fixed for hores and pigs at twelve, for cows at forteen, for dogs at nine, for sheep at seven and for hens and geese at five...

* The farm had had a very succesful year, but they were still short of money. they were the briks, sand, and lime for the school rooms to be purchased, and it would also be necassary to begin saving for next year machinery for the windmill.

* In April Animal Farm was proclaimed are public, and it became necessary to elect a president. there were 0nly canidates, Napolean who was elected unanimously. The same day it was given out that fresh document had been disovered whitch vealed futher details about snowball's complicity with jones.

* In the summer a sudden rumour ran round the farm that something had happened to boxer... He had gone out alone to drag a load of stone down to the windmill.

Chapter 10*

* The seasons came and went, the short animals livesfled by. a tome came when there waws no one who remembered the old days befor the rebelion, except clove, benjamin, moss the raven and a number of the pigs.

* Muriel, bluebell, jessie, and pincher were all dead.

* jones was deadto he had died in an inebriates h9ome in another part of the contrey! snbowball was forgotten, boxer was forgoten, except for the few who had known him.

*Many animals had bin born to whom the rebellion was only a dim traditonpassed on by word of mouth, and others had never heard mention of such a thing bfor their arivel.
